The only open corner on The Outcrops. Climb up the easy slab to a ledge at the base of the book. Climb up the corner placing gear. Clip a bolt and exit right out of the corner. Top out near a large pine.

the route consist of a small flake an a mantle move to top out. the crux being the top out.

This often looked-at line follows a series of pockets and flakes just left of the "Rat Cave."  Climb straight up behind and to the right of the tree to a moon shaped dish, then make a committing high step and rock-over move to overcome the crux bulge.  An easier but fun face leads to a pine tree belay. 

  Free soloed on the first ascent with an early evening moon rising in the East.   In India, moonstones are regarded as 'dream stones' which bring the wearer beautiful visions at night.

This is a dyno at a small outcrop above The Land of Overhangs. Stick clip a high lone bolt or rap down to set it up. This can also be done ropeless, but dont roll down the hill. Start on a short wall and dyno out to a big block sticking out over your head. The further left you throw the harder it gets! This ranges from V0-V?.

Start at the bottom of the slab 20' left of the corner. Climb up 15' of great 5.8ish moves to a ledge. Climb directly out the overhang with a left hand flake and a right hand pocket to start. Finish at the bolt anchor.

Some fun crack climbing if you chose or climb the face or use the crack for a lay back what ever you chose.Climb to a dinner table size ledge,good rest before the crux then face climb to top out.I don't know about the top out because I toped roped it first time from some webbing around a big boulder at the top.

This is a good route because it has only one 5.9 move on it and that's the start.There is a much easier start to it if you start five feet right.After the starts the route drops down in grade to about 5.5 and up you go.

This is a short route with a lot of fun moves.The crux move is getting to the anchors.

Theres a good horizontal hand jam to get started on, then make several powerfull moves up to and past the "cougar eyes"(twin downward facing pockets). Once you get to the flake at ~18ft the extreme difficulties are over. The quality of the flake is questionable, use caution pulling on this and make sure your belayer is aware also. Continue up and merge right to the anchor on 24 or top out straight up.

Big fun moves up a mildly overhanging swell.  Named after a .357 Magnum casing found at the base of the route, and the fact that the key holds are a tad dirty, though adequate.  "Do you feel lucky? Well do ya, Punk?" 

Start in the same spot as the 12 b/c project at the outcrops. Follow the horizontal left under the roof and clip a bolt. Move up to a big flake and clip a bolt on the bulge. Make moves over the bulge (crux) and finish up and left to a bolt anchor.

The top out is the crux.It is a dirty climb because of all the ledges

Listed in the Chinos guide as a top rope, it appears that no one has lead this previously.  Right of Booklet of Boobs approximately 30 feet is a "Y" shaped beech tree growing out of a horizontal crack about 10 feet up.  Staying right of the beech tree, climb straight up through an overlap to a pine tree belay.  Get it?  Route 1A follows the beech... 

  A harder (5.9ish) version was top roped going up through the Y shaped brances, but the crux was avoiding the tree completely for progress.

This short hard bouldery route is located between the Land of Overhangs and The Outback. Look for a small wall a about 200 feet before The Outback. The route starts below a roof. stick clip the bolt over the roof. follow a short dyke over the roof and then it disappears. Go straight up on thin holds to the second part of the dyke. clip the anchors.

Climb the route "24" past the crux and stand up above the second bolt.  Truck right on fun moves with great positioning to the dual anchors above the "Project" route. 

  This makes for a much more sustained and interesting finish to the route "24", keeping the moves consistant at the grade.  At present, only one of the two anchors atop the "Project" route  has a quick link to facilitate lowering or rapping off.

The Becky Route is the last route along The Outcrops. The route starts 15'right of Chino's Arete on the Outback wall. Climb out of the steep cave area moving left along horizontals and mantle over the bulge to a small foot ledge. Make some committing slab moves to gain a tree ledge. Continue up broken walls with huge holds to the top.

Start about 20' right of the Way Out dyno. Climb up an easy short slab to a small crack/flake. Place gear in the crack and horizontal above. Make some nice moves over the small roof with good holds. Sling the pine tree and make a couple more moves up a short slab to the trees on top.

The Outcrops are a little scatered throughout the top of the Land of Overhangs all the way to the Outback wall. Very fun short climbing with moderate grades.
